Studio Brain is a Chrome browser extension that helps tattoo artists write replies to client emails and Instagram DMs using AI. It reads the text of open messages in your Gmail or Instagram tabs and sends that text to an AI API to generate a suggested reply.
We collect nothing. Studio Brain has no backend server, no database, and no analytics. We have no way to receive, store, or access any information about you or your clients.
When you click Generate Reply, the following information is sent directly from your browser to your chosen AI provider:

Depending on which provider you select in Settings, your data is processed by:
Both providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle API requests. By default, neither provider trains their models on API request data unless you opt in to data sharing in your account settings with them.
Your API key is stored locally in Chrome's sync storage (chrome.storage.sync). This means it is stored on your device and optionally synced across your Chrome devices via your Google account. It is never transmitted to Studio Brain or any third party other than the AI provider it belongs to.
Your name, studio name, address, and reply preferences are stored in chrome.storage.sync — locally on your device. We cannot access this data.
Studio Brain reads message text from Gmail and Instagram in order to generate replies. This text is processed in your browser and sent to your AI provider. It is not stored by Studio Brain at any point. You are responsible for ensuring your use of AI tools complies with any applicable data protection obligations you have to your clients.
No other permissions are requested or used.
Studio Brain is intended for use by professional tattoo artists and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
